History of brand

 The company name comes from the Lisner family's surname.
 
The first mention of the company appeared in the trade registry of Rhine Westphalia 1765.

Over the period of the first hundred years, Lisner was involved in the processing of salmon caught in the Rhine River, supplying it to the outstanding princely courts  of Berlin and Vienna, among others.

In the second half of the XIX century the company began to process herring and soon this particular type of fish became the basic raw material in Lisner's production process.

We have operated in Poland since 1991, when we began production at a modern plant Poznań. Our production plant employs over 1000 people.

In 1998 Lisner became a part of the British food concern UNIQ plc, which is active on the European market and provides it with a wide range of the highest quality refrigerated products, such as salads, spreads, sandwiches, fish products, main courses, desserts and dips.

 In November 2009 agreement between Uniq Plc and HK Food SA was finalized. Two divisions of Uniq Northern Europe (UNIQ LISNER Sp. z o.o. and NADLER FEINKOST) were sold to IFR Capital plc. Further to the announcements Lisner became a part of German food concern Homann Group. Completion of the disposal took place in April 2010. On 29.07.2010 the legal name of the company changed from Uniq Lisner Sp. z o.o. to Lisner Sp. z o.o.

Through the acquisition, Homann Group obtains a leading position in the European market for the production of chilled fine prepared salads and fish products.

 In September 2010, LISNER decided to refresh the brand. Former studies revealed that the current logo is strongly associated with “fishness” - the most common associations during the surveys were: prestige, elegance, tradition, experience, order, harmony and peace. The expressive colors, spaciousness and the "smiling logo" will be more associated with modernity, innovation, joy, accessibility, security and warmth.

Moreover, the logo’s graphic on the packaging of all fish products has been changed. The main purpose of this change was reviving the brand's image, highlighting its modernity, versatility and openness to new consumers. Gradual refreshments on the graphics of the fish products, a modern color scheme and the “smiling logo” will help us distinguish ourselves from the competitors and encourage consumers to more frequent purchases.
