
Herring fillets a'la Matjas in oil are an offer for lovers of traditional holiday snacks. Ingredients:
8 Lisner Matjas herring fillets
4 medium onions
2 cups of oil
KAMIS lemon pepper
Preparation:
Soak the fillets in cold water (for around 1 hour). Next cut into rhombus shapes around 5 cm long. Finely chop the onion, pour boiling water over it in a sieve, cool. In a dish, arrange layers of herring sprinkled with lemon pepper alternating with onion. Pour the oil over it. Set aside in a cool place for a minimum of 24 hours.
