The new boat is a response to current trends and the needs of our consumers. We have made every effort to ensure that our iconic product has the best possible packaging. This is another step by Lisner to reduce the amount of plastic on our planet!

Energy, water and care for the environment

that is what we do to produce our products even better!

Our green successes!

  1. In 2022, the first photovoltaic panels were built on the roof of our factory in Poznań. They provide enough energy to cover 100% of the demand for our office building!

  2. Implementation of a system to manage the operation of the thermal centre, which gave us a reduction in heat demand of around 7%!

  3. Modernisation of the ammonia condensers and oil coolers increased the energy efficiency of the chillers by approximately 17%.

What plans do we have?

We are going to start building PV farms in Charzyno, due to which the energy MIX will be supplied in 50% with green energy in 2024.

Ecocartons

We have decided to change to more environmentally friendly cartons, this is our next step towards sustainability.

Change to corrugated paper

  • We have used everywhere corrugated paper technology in the new cartons.
  • Higher crush and puncture resistance with the same unit weight of packaging. Compared to the previous cartons, we would have had to use twice as much solid cardboard to achieve the same strength results as corrugated paper.
  • Less material consumption ➡ Less tree felling

Advantages of Flexo printing

  • No need for protective varnish
  • Possibility to print on grey material, no need to bleach the paper, therefore less use of chemicals
  • Smaller print area, currently 10%, compared to the previous Herring Single Portion carton which was 78% 
  • Less ink consumption

Additional benefits:

  • FSC-certified, indicating the sustainable use of raw materials
  • The packaging has been produced from recyclable materials.
