Ingredients

  • 3-4 herring fillets a'la matjas Lisner
  • 3 pickled cucumbers
  • 3 tablespoons of pickled mushrooms
  • ½ of onion
  • ½ ripe avocado
  • fresh dill or coriander according to your preference
  • freshly ground pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon of mustard to taste

Method of preparation

  1. Before preparing the recipe, soak the herring in cold water, preferably for about 2 hours. Change the water three times during this time, then rinse them thoroughly. If you prefer your herring to have a more salty taste, skip this point.
  2. Finely dice the herring, pickled cucumbers, pickled mushrooms, avocado and onion.
  3. Layer the ingredients prepared in this way in a tartare ring or directly on the plate.
  4. Sprinkle with freshly ground pepper to taste and decorate with ½ teaspoon of mustard.
  5. Serve with fresh dill or coriander and fresh bread.
