Ingredients
3–4 herring fillets a'la matjas Lisner
100ml of cream 12%
1 apple
1 red onion
fresh dill/parsley
freshly ground pepper to taste
Method of preparation
Before preparing the recipe, soak the herring in cold water, preferably for about 2 hours. Change the water three times during this time, then rinse them thoroughly. If you prefer your herring to have a more salty taste, skip this point.
Cut the herring into strips about 2-3 cm wide.
Finely dice the apple and onion.
Mix the herring with the cream, onion, apple and season to taste with freshly ground pepper.
