Herring in mustard sauce

with French mustard and curry

Ingredients

  • 3-4 herring fillets a'la matjas Lisner
  • 100ml of Greek-style yoghurt
  • 1 flat spoon (approx. 10-12 g) of French mustard
  • ¼ flat spoon of curry spice
  • freshly ground pepper to taste
  • fresh parsley

Method of preparation

Method of preparation

  1. Before preparing the recipe, soak the herring in cold water, preferably for about 2 hours. Change the water three times during this time, then rinse them thoroughly. If you prefer your herring to have a more salty taste, skip this point.
  2. Cut the herring into strips about 3-4 cm wide.
  3. Mix the Greek-style yoghurt with the mustard, curry spice and pepper.
  4. Place the previously prepared herrings on a plate and pour over the mustard sauce.
  5. Serve decorated with fresh parsley.
